Dr Alex L. Tournier BScCantab PhD LCHE RSHom - Chair of Trustees
Alex studied physics and mathematics at Imperial College and Cambridge before writing his PhD in biophysics in Heidelberg (Germany). He also qualified from the Centre for Homeopathic Education in 2007. Alex's expertise is in biophysics, water structures, and water-protein interactions. He is currently a research fellow working on problems at the interface between biology, physics and mathematics. Alex founded the Homeopathy Research Institute in 2007.
Dr Clare Relton MSc PhD RSHom FFHom
Clare originally studied Philosophy at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. She worked as a homeopath in the NHS 1998-2005 and was made Fellow of the Society of Homeopaths in 2009. Clare was awarded a Department of Health Pre Doctoral Training Fellowship from 2003 to 2008, obtained her MSc (Health Services Research) in 2004 and received her PhD (Clinical Trial Design) in 2009. Clare is currently a research fellow at the School for Health and Related Research at the University of Sheffield.
Mr. Petter Viksveen BA MSc(Hons) MNHL NAN
Petter has been a practising homeopath since he graduated from the Norwegian Academy for Natural Medicine in Oslo in 1990. He was Chairman of the European Central Council of Homeopaths (ECCH) for 13 years and ECCH Research Working Group Coordinator. He is also one of the founders of, and a coordinator for, the European Network for Homeopathy Research (ENHR). Petter held the post of Research Advisor for the National Information Centre for Alternative Medicine, Norway from 2009 to 2011. He holds a Master Degree in Homeopathy from the University of Central Lancashire and is currently enrolled as an MPHIL student at the University of Sheffield.
Dr Elizabeth Thompson BAOxon MBBS MRCP FFHom
Liz is a Consultant Homeopathic Physician specialising in oncology and a Fellow of the Faculty of Homeopathy. She is currently Lead Clinician, Academic Director and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Palliative Medicine, at Bristol Homeopathic Hospital. Her research interests have been around whether homeopathy can offer a novel approach to symptom control in the cancer patient and in particular managing side effects of cancer treatments. She also has an interest in trial design.
Marcus Fernandez LCPH MHMA
Marcus is vice-principal of the Centre for Homeopathic Education, which was founded in 1998. He has practised and taught homeopathy for 15 years within the NHS, for charitable organisations and now in private practice. In 1997 he set up the Healthy Living Centre in Islington, London, a clinic that offers a wide range of complementary and alternative therapies.
